This week’s Zentangle Challenge from the Diva was to be inspired by courage and the Beads of Courage program. I chose to use the image of beads in my tangle, as well as using the name of my mother’s friend, Daphne, who I believe is one of the most courageous people I have ever known. Despite being born with Cerebral Palsy, Daphne lived an incredibly full and amazing life. In particular, she did things like travel, sing in a chorus, and play piano, all difficult things that her form of CP would have made even more challenging. But she never let that stop her or slow her down. She died a few years ago, of cancer, and even in her last year showed incredible strength, courage, and grace. So this Zentangle is in her honor.
